The Willowdale Auto Group is looking to fill the position of an Apprentice Technician! Due to our growth, we are looking to add an Apprentice who can learn the way to being a Licensed Technician.

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart their career in the automotive industry. The Apprentice Automotive Technician will work under the guidance of experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance while developing essential skills in a fast-paced environment.

Position Requirements:

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues using automotive schematics and manuals.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
• Support senior technicians with more complex repairs, including heavy lifting as required.
• Learn and apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot various automotive systems.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills, including welding techniques when applicable.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of automotive repair principles and practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with automotive schematics and ability to read technical documents is a plus.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely in a workshop environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with a willingness to learn from experienced technicians.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by job duties.
• Previous experience in a dealership setting is an advantage but not mandatory
