Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff to ensure exceptional service standards and productivity.
Customer Experience: Ensure every customer has a positive, seamless experience from start to finish, addressing any concerns or issues professionally and efficiently.
Service Department Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the service department, managing workflow, scheduling, and ensuring that all jobs are completed on time and within budget.
Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage the service department’s financial performance, including labour costs, parts sales, and service revenue. Implement strategies to meet or exceed department goals.
Inventory & Parts Management: Ensure the proper inventory of parts and supplies, minimizing delays and ensuring cost-effective inventory management.
Quality Control & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of service quality, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
Staff Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to the service team, keeping them informed on the latest automotive technologies and customer service practices.
Customer Relations & Retention: Build long-lasting relationships with customers by providing excellent communication, timely updates on vehicle progress, and solutions to meet their needs. Implement strategies to increase customer retention.
Problem-Solving: Address any complex service issues or complaints and work to resolve them swiftly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Report Generation & Analysis: Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports on key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and optimize department performance.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
Saturday - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (as needed)
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in automotive service management or a similar role. A background in automotive repair or service advising is a plus.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team to achieve high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
Customer-Focused: A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating an outstanding customer experience.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, juggle competing demands, and ensure all aspects of the service department are running smoothly.
Financial Acumen: Knowledge of managing budgets, labour costs, parts sales, and overall profitability of the service department.
Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and upper management.
Problem Solver: Ability to address and resolve complex service issues and customer concerns in a timely, effective manner.
