Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles, utilizing advanced mechanical skills and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on automobiles and trucks
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively
- Repair or replace components such as belts, hoses, brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and professionally
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic with dealership experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, or similar industrial machinery
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and farm machinery maintenance is advantageous
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and industrial maintenance practices
- Prior experience working with Caterpillar or other heavy-duty equipment is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for various repair tasks
- Customer service experience is desirable to ensure positive interactions with clients
This role requires a dedicated professional with diverse technical skills capable of handling complex repairs while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Pay: $31.00-$50.00 per hour
