Back Of House Manager

Job Overview
Our growing company is developing a new restaurant in Lake Delton. As part of our exciting growth, we are looking for a Back Of House Manager.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Back Of House Manager to oversee our culinary operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management, team leadership, and food service. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety while fostering a positive work atmosphere for staff.

Duties

  • Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef to develop menus that reflect seasonal offerings and customer preferences.
  • Conduct interviews for new kitchen staff and assist in the hiring process.
  • Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and kitchen equipment; order supplies as needed.
  • Implement cost control measures to minimize waste while maximizing quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all food management regulations and standards.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events such as banquets or fine dining experiences.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar supervisory role within the food service industry.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of fine dining practices, banquet service, and bar operations is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, vendors, and guests.
  • Familiarity with food management systems and safety regulations is essential.
  • A culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
