We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Backhoe operator to join our small team as a full time permanent employment of minimum guaranteed hours of 40 hours per week. We may require you to work up to 50 hours per week. Work will be in Auckland region only.
The duties and responsibilities of a Backhoe operator include:
· Operating backhoe and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
· Performing pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on the machine.
· Excavating and clearing trenches according to project specifications and blueprints.
· Loading and unloading materials such as soil, rocks, and debris.
· Work on various aspects of the earthwork such as site clean up, footing, bridge pile holes, compaction, trenching for laying drains & public - private service line.
. Work on landscaping jobs clearing and spreading soil.
· Assisting with site preparation, grading, and levelling.
· Operating attachments such as hydraulic hammers, grapples, and augers as needed.
· Monitoring and maintaining proper equipment operation and performance.
· Following safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
· Communicating with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and workflow.
· Keeping accurate records of work performed, hours worked, and equipment maintenance.
· Any other work assigned by the employer.
. You may be required to start early and may work in the weekend.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
