Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Bar Manager to lead the daily operation of our hotel bar while supporting the wider events and hospitality team. This role combines operational leadership, creative beverage development, team management, and exceptional guest service.
The successful candidate will oversee all bar operations, manage beverage ordering and stock control, maintain high service standards, and work collaboratively with the events team to deliver outstanding drinks receptions, private functions, and cocktail experiences throughout the hotel.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the hotel bar to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Lead and supervise bar staff, ensuring service standards are consistently maintained
- Develop and implement efficient bar procedures and service workflows
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean, organised, and operating to the highest standards at all times
- Maintain compliance with all licensing, health & safety, and hygiene regulations
Beverage Management
- Oversee all beverage ordering, stock management, and supplier relationships
- Monitor stock levels, wastage, GP margins, and inventory controls
- Create and develop seasonal cocktail menus, signature drinks, and beverage offerings
- Work closely with management on pricing strategies and product selection
- Ensure all beverage equipment is properly maintained and serviced
Events & Hospitality Support
- Flex into the events team to support drinks receptions, weddings, corporate events, and private functions
- Assist in planning and executing beverage service for hotel events
- Design tailored cocktail and drinks experiences for special occasions
- Support operational setup and coordination for hospitality events as required
- Collaborate with kitchen, events, and operations teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate bar staff
- Create staff rotas and manage labour effectively in line with business levels
- Conduct training on cocktails, wines, spirits, and customer service standards
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Bar Manager or senior bar leadership role within a hotel, venue, or premium hospitality environment
- Strong cocktail knowledge and passion for beverage trends
- Experience supporting events, functions, or hospitality operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
- Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
