Zen Events is looking for a part time bookkeeper/accounts administrator
Candidates will be required to complete the following tasks.
- Preparation of bookkeeping records including sales, purchases and bank transactions
- Processing and payment of Invoices
- Taking Payments
- Creditors/Debtors/Bank Reconciliations
- Preparing and submission of VAT returns
- PAYE reconciliations
- Preparing and posting month end journals
- Preparation of accounts to trial balance
- Processing payroll
- Invoicing Clients
- Chasing Debts
- Issuing Statements
- Budgeting
- Familiarity with Sage and Bright pay would be an advantage
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
The ideal candidate:
- At least 3 years' experience in a general account's role
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping/payroll role
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Knowledge of the Irish tax system
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work to and manage deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership on the role
- Excellent organisational and communications skills essential]
- Rate: €15-20ph on experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €15.00-€20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week

- Westcourt Business Park, Kilkenny, CO. Kilkenny: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Bookkeeping: 3 years (required)
