Broker - Rural Or Commercial

• Responsible for developing and maintaining a clear insight of the client’s business and the day-to-day servicing of new and renewal client business
• Lead and deliver the end-to-end ongoing client service, adhering to service standards and regulations
• Prepare and execute client and prospect presentations considering the impact of client profitability
• Understand the clients’ business and risk management needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service
• Generate growth within the existing portfolio and convert new business
• Develop and execute a strategic business growth plan
• Present powerful, persuasive presentations that effectively demonstrate our value proposition
• Proactively cross sell and promote products to clients including premium funding, cyber risk, domestic insurance and life and health
• Contribute to mid and short-term business strategy and planning to ensure that our targets are in line with current market trends, regulations and operational processes
• Coach the Broker Support Staff to develop their knowledge and capabilities so that they become able to manage their own client base

• Previous commercial or rural insurance broking experience (minimum of 3 years)
• Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to develop and manage complex client accounts
• Experience in developing new business opportunities
• A strong sense of team work and a committed work ethic
• Demonstrated understanding of NZ insurance policies and regulations
• Holds or is working towards a Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5)
