We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the industry, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of cannabis products. This role involves guiding customers through their purchases, providing education on product effects and usage, and ensuring a welcoming environment. The successful applicant will be an integral part of our retail operation, promoting responsible consumption and fostering customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting suitable cannabis products based on their needs and preferences.
• Provide accurate information regarding product effects, dosages, and consumption methods to ensure safe usage.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest products, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Process transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems while adhering to legal compliance standards.
• Ensure the retail space remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Educate customers on responsible consumption practices and answer any questions they may have about products.
• Assist in stock management, including restocking shelves as needed and notifying management of inventory issues.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times, maintaining a respectful environment for both colleagues and customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or customer service roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
• A genuine interest in the cannabis industry coupled with a desire to educate others.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in conducting transactions and day to day tasks.
• Ability to take initiative when working alone and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of current legislation surrounding cannabis sales is essential.
• Must be at least 19 years old and able to work flexible hours including weekends. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop within a growing industry while contributing positively to our customers by promoting responsible use of cannabis products.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
