Job Description

Bridge Facility Services Ltd is seeking a Building Operator to join our team. We provide exceptional temporary and permanent building operators to commercial, retail, and industrial landlords, managers, and owners throughout British Colombia. Many of our staff have transitioned into full-time roles with our valued clients.

This position offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00PM, excluding statutory holidays) and involves working closely with an experienced operations supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily building operator duties across multiple commercial properties in Vancouver’s downtown core.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on boilers, cooling towers, heat pumps, splits, RTUs, and MUAs.
• Handle general handyman tasks and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
• Work under supervision from the operations supervisor but independently on tasks based on skill level.
• Communicate effectively with tenants, clients, and management.

Requirements:

• Strong handyman skills and basic mechanical knowledge.
• Familiarity with boilers, cooling towers, heat pumps, and related systems.
• Ability to take direction and work both independently and under supervision.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use a smartphone for emails, texts, and work order platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Location:
This position involves work across several properties in Vancouver’s downtown area, all within close proximity to each other.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (60-minute break).
• No weekends or statutory holidays (based on BC holiday schedule).
