Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our IT Department and play a key role in our digital transformation journey. This role will focus on improving internal systems, including our core internally developed ERP and various third-party platforms. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between IT and the business, ensuring that technology solutions align with operational needs and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across the business.
• Produce clear and comprehensive specification documentation.
• Act as the liaison between IT, business functions and 3rd party suppliers to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
• Run Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to evaluate and select appropriate solutions and vendors.
• Investigate and assess potential solutions to meet business need
• Support the development of implementation and handover plans
• Ensure successful delivery of business requirements and functional specifications.
• Coordinate and manage small to medium-sized software projects, monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Technically literate with a good understanding of business systems and experience with solutions requiring multiple systems and integrations
• Proven experience in project management and working within agile development frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and engagement skills.
• Experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations and policies of a new business area.
• Strong problem resolution, negotiation and influencing skills
• Demonstrated ability to engage both IT staff, business partners and 3rd party suppliers to achieve target outcomes.
• Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
• Experience in creating documentation such as business cases or business requirements summaries.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.
• Degree-qualified in a relevant field (e.g. Business, IT, Engineering).

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Systems Analyst role, ideally in a senior capacity.
• Background in relevant industries, functions, and/or technologies is preferred.

Tools & Methodologies

• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience working in agile development environments.
