General Description
A Business Analyst for Our People Insights is responsible for the analysis of HR data, primarily related to employee’s learning and development within Popular. This role will support HR and senior leaders in monitoring key people metrics, while contributing to the decision-making process.
Creating and monitoring metrics, reports, data visualization, and providing meaningful insight though storytelling will help define the strategies for improving the employee experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Capture quantitative and qualitative meaningful data related to our employees’ learning and development opportunities.
- Develop monthly metrics and insights on employee’s learning and development opportunities and employee satisfaction.
- Convert HR data into visual stories using data visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI and Qualtrics.
- Identify and implement areas of opportunity for process improvement.
- Provide a backup for developing monthly metrics.
- Inform to Managers in monthly updates.
- Manage monthly budget process to ensure adherence with established process and provide visibility to Learning and Development Manager.
- Identify over/under-budget areas of opportunity.
- Manage reports and variance explanations to areas according to requests.
- Perform investigations for requested invoices from the management team.
- Provide training and address monthly troubleshooting issues.
- Articulate findings clearly and concisely, and creating data-driven content with unique narratives to be included in infographics, presentations, and reports.
- Develop reports that will be shared within and outside the HR division including the CEO and senior executives.
- Work as internal advisor while collaborating with team members, colleagues from other departments and IT, enabling insight that can empower better decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This Job has no supervisory responsibilities but in special circumstances may lead the work of others.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field preferred.
Experience
Two (2) years of relevant experience in functions related to business analysis, data analysis, statistical analysis, or budget management.
Experience presenting quantitative data. Experience in developing requirements and formulating metrics in data visualization tools.
Other Qualifications
- Experience with database management.
- Experience with developing and monitoring metrics.
- Knowledge of financial concepts and budget management.
- Ability to present and interact with all levels of management including executive leadership.
- Ability and capacity to present complex quantitative data in a simple and intuitive format.
- Ability and capacity to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented, organized, exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven, agile, and able to work independently and on multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Creative thinker and an outstanding storyteller.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Tools, such as Microsoft Forms and Microsoft Excel (Power Queries, Power Pivots, Pivots, formulas (x-lookup, v-lookup, if-statements, math formulas, count-a, count-if).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
