The Role:

We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Midlands region. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering measurable results.

As a key member of the team, you'll take ownership of developing new business while growing and strengthening relationships with existing customers. Working closely with the Customer Service and Production team, you'll create tailored print, signage, branding and marketing solutions that help businesses achieve their goals.

You'll enjoy a high level of autonomy, managing your own sales pipeline from prospecting through to closing deals, while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Success in this role comes from combining strong sales experience with a proactive, consultative approach and a genuine passion for helping customers succeed.

This is a performance-focused role with clear sales targets and KPIs, offering the opportunity to make a real impact on the growth and success of Snap Midlands.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive profitable sales growth by developing new business opportunities while expanding and strengthening relationships with existing customers.
  • Manage a proactive sales pipeline through networking, referrals, prospecting, customer meetings, telephone outreach, email campaigns and quote follow-up, ensuring all activity is accurately maintained within the CRM and business management systems.
  • Act as the sales lead for Snap Midlands, helping to create a positive, high-performance culture and supporting the wider team in achieving the centre's sales.
  • Work collaboratively with Customer Service Representatives, Production and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities to increase customer value through cross-selling, upselling and introducing new products and services.
  • Build long-term customer partnerships by providing outstanding service, understanding customer needs and becoming a trusted business advisor.
  • Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity and key performance indicators, taking ownership of achieving individual and centre sales targets.
  • Support and coach colleagues where appropriate, sharing sales knowledge, encouraging collaboration and contributing to the ongoing success of the Midlands team.
  • Represent Snap Midlands at networking events, customer visits and local business initiatives to increase brand awareness and generate new opportunities.
  • Carry out any other duties that are reasonably required to support the successful operation and growth of the business.

Required Criteria

  • Excellent team, negotiation, influencing and sales closing skills are essential in the role, including professional persistence
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a B2B business development, sales or account management role, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and winning new business
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • A professional, confident and customer-focused approach, both in person and over the phone
  • Highly organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using CRM and business management systems
  • Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the Midlands region to meet customers


Desired Criteria

  • Experience in the Print industry [Design, Promotional Products, Signage, Events, Marketing materials] is an advantage but not essential.
