Position Summary:
The Business Office Manager, under the supervision of the Executive Director, is responsible for maintaining high accounting and office standards and handling day-to-day financial transactions. This role ensures smooth operations by managing resident accounts, processing payroll, completing month-end billing, and supporting staff and residents in financial matters, in line with Runnstone Senior Living’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage resident accounts, including billings, insurance coverage, and census counts.
- Process and balance cash receipts, petty cash, and trust accounts.
- Oversee payroll and month-end financial processes, ensuring accuracy.
- Assist residents and families with financial questions.
- Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate office staff.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety, infection control, and other regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality assurance and compliance activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma; 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience (healthcare preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with payroll, billing, and financial reporting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines under pressure.
Work Conditions:
- Light work (lifting up to 25 lbs).
- Office environment with significant work pace/pressure.
