Buyer required to work at Wilson Retail No 2 Limited trading as Wilsons Family Butchers, at Unit 7, Rathfarnham Shopping Centre, Butterfield Avenue, Dublin 14, D14 FH24, Ireland. The applicant must have at least six months of professional experience in a similar purchasing, procurement or buying role. Duties include sourcing and purchasing meat products, ingredients, packaging and supplies for the business; negotiating with suppliers to ensure competitive prices, quality standards and suitable delivery terms; managing stock levels and inventory to avoid shortages or over-ordering; maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new potential vendors; ensuring that all purchased products meet the company’s quality, food safety and hygiene standards; tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery to the store; reviewing supplier invoices, purchase orders and delivery documentation; monitoring market prices and availability of products; and supporting the business in maintaining a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
