Description:
The Opportunity

The CAD Systems Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Spiire’s design and drafting environment. Working within our Practice Areas, Technology teams and technical staff, this role focuses on maintaining and updating CAD standards, templates, menus, and libraries to ensure consistent and efficient drafting outputs across the business.

The role liaises with key stakeholders to gather system improvement requests, assists with minor CAD customisations, and provides first-line support for CAD-related issues and contributes to the management of Spiire’s design data environment, including 12d Synergy. This position helps promote quality, consistency, and collaboration across projects and teams.

Some key responsibilities include:
Standards & Template Management for all practice areas and project teams.
Support practice areas and project teams with the development, implementation, and maintenance of CAD standards, templates, and menus across disciplines.
Support the upkeep of the different practice areas and project teams CAD libraries, ensuring details and outputs remain consistent and aligned with business needs.
Work with practice areas and project teams to contribute to system documentation and checklists for drafting workflows.

About You

This is the ideal role for an experienced CAD coordinator looking to continue growing their skills and experience with ambitions to have an impact on our design environment. The selected candidate will have access to knowledgeable technical experts and take advantage of learning from the best. You will come to us with:

Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Drafting, Engineering Design, or equivalent experience.
Experience in CAD drafting or coordination (AutoCAD and Civil/Structural preferred).
Exposure to CAD standards, libraries, and template management.
Experience supporting multi-disciplinary design teams (desirable).
Working knowledge of CAD platforms (AutoCAD essential; knowledge of Civil 3D, 12D, or similar desirable).
Working knowledge of CAD customisation (e.g., menus, templates, and/or lisp routines).
