Calibration Engineer
Main Responsibilities/ Tasks
Responsibilities:
- Ensure appropriate preparation for all client visits is undertaken i.e. required test equipment, tools, spare parts and site requirements.
- Maintain company equipment – calibration equipment, tools, car, phone
- Work with client personnel as required to facilitate onsite services
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication.
- Responsible for ensuring calibration services are completed accurately in a timely manner.
- Nationwide Travel Required
Tasks:
- Perform calibration services as assigned by management to achieve group-based annual goals.
- Calibrate, disassemble/assemble, clean, and repair units under calibration.
- Execute the determined service product, following any established customer protocols, tests instruments to ensure conformance to agreed specifications.
- Troubleshoot faulty units under calibration and carry out appropriate repairs after client approval
- Record calibration test measurements in calibration software.
- Exercise all safety precautions as required, in particular manual handling training.
- Obey all customer site health and safety requirements, e.g. work permit, PPE.
- Receive and ship units under calibration at CTL premises.
- Any other tasks that may arise during day to day operations.
Training, professional experience:
- Experience in laboratory testing would be a distinct advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided
Professional competence, special knowledge:
- Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Full clean driving licence
Personal skills:
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and documentation.
- Analytical and logical approach with a keen eye for detail
- Able to thrive under pressure and work as part of team in a fast-paced environment
- Develop strong customer relationships consistent with CTL values
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €34,000.00-€52,000.00 per year
