Overview
We are seeking an experienced Call Center Patient Coordinators to join our team in delivering exceptional service and support to our patients. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in medical terminology, billing, and administrative support within a healthcare setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deal with patients with respect and kindness. Call Center Patient Coordinators will ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintain high standards of patient service and schedule medical appointments for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Handle medical records, documentation review, health insurance verification and schedule medical appointments for patients.
  • Will deal with outbound/inbound calls and emails with patients.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations are met.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and treat all patients with respect and kindness.
  • Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and Dentrix for effective patient management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes related to medical office management and scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate records of calls, inquiries, and resolutions for quality assurance purposes.

Requirements

  • 2 plus years of call center experience within a healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding, Medicare processes, and health information management.
  • Familiarity with various EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; typing skills are essential.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish and English/Creole candidates are highly preferred to enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for this role.
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems is preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
