Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and distribute shopping carts throughout the store to ensure customers have easy access.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of cart areas, aisles, and entry points to promote a positive shopping atmosphere.
• Assist customers with retrieving carts and answer basic questions about store layout or promotions using excellent communication skills.
• Support merchandising efforts by helping stock cart stations and ensuring promotional displays are tidy and appealing.
• Upsell store memberships or loyalty programs when appropriate, enhancing customer engagement and sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient stocking, product demos, and overall store presentation.
• Follow proper cash handling procedures if assisting with small transactions or promotions involving coupons or discounts.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery stores is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for engaging diverse customers effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, product demos, and merchandising tasks.
• Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus but training will be provided.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise or assist team members in maintaining store standards is advantageous.
• Excellent phone etiquette for responding to customer inquiries professionally over the phone or in person.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently in a fast-paced grocery store environment. Pay: $21.78 - $26.23 per hour
