We’re on the hunt for a superstar Category Manager to join our Sales team at Walter & Wild. You will be responsible for driving category-based thinking across the business that flows into Marketing and Sales planning. This is a permanent full-time role and will report directly to the Category Development & Revenue Manager. You will be providing support for both New Zealand and Australian markets.

Key Accountabilities but not limited to:

• Drive category-based thinking across the business that flows into Marketing and Sales planning
• Conduct data analysis across all 4Ps to drive business growth

• Develop trade presentations with the sales and marketing team
• Conduct annual reviews and deep dive analysis for brand planning
• Provide support to the marketing team with stage & gate business case documents
• Manage and distribute a standard reporting suite with actionable insights and make improvements as required
• Manage SKU prioritisation suite and setting priority rankings to maximise returns and efficiency
• Monitor and track NPD performance, measuring post-launch results
• Ensure data integrity across all external data sources and maintain relationships with data providers

About you

• FMCG experience
• Direct experience in category management or development
• Confident with scanned and shopper data
• Solid communication and presentations skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Commercial savvy and results oriented
• Ability to utilize a broad range of business software e.g. Microsoft Office, Circana
• Ability to analyze business to highlight key result areas to develop and execute improvement plans.
You may be a category manager with a couple years of experience under your belt or a super star analyst who is ready to take the next step.
