Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by preparing patients, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care while utilizing your dental assisting skills and knowledge of dental software systems such as Tracker. Experience in Pediatrics, is a plus. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about advancing their career in dentistry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including pediatric dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Tracker, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to safety standards
- Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Assist with laboratory tasks related to dental appliances or orthodontic devices
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as TRACKER is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Pediatrics is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, must be able to enter clinical notes, and treatment related information.
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required
- Prior experience as a dental assisting
Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 4pm
Fridays: 7:30am to 2:30pm
No evenings/No weekends
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
