Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our great team. We're a small friendly and relaxed dental practice located in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood of Vancouver.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. Our patient population has a significant portion of Mandarin and Cantonese speaking so language skills will be an asset.
Duties
- Please note that training is available for any of the duties the candidate may no have experience in.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the office.
- Collaborate with other dental team members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.
Requirements
- Candidate must be a certified dental assistant.
- Be able to use Cleardent (training available)
- Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is advantageous (again training available)
- Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
