Chief People And Assurance Officer

This is an executive role of considerable impact and influence. As Chief People and Assurance Officer, you will report directly to the Chief Executive and serve as a key member of K inga Ora's Executive Leadership Team.

You will ensure K inga Ora has the talent and high-performance culture necessary to achieve its strategic goals. As an influential and results-driven executive, you will champion enterprise-wide change through a commercial lens.

You will lead the strategic direction and operational excellence of the People and Assurance Group, which includes overseeing the following functions - people, legal, communications, engagement and marketing, enterprise risk, and governance.

You will lead a large, multidisciplinary group of professionals and work in close partnership with Ministers, the K inga Ora Board, other government agencies, and sector groups and networks.

This role offers the rare opportunity to apply commercial acumen and public service values to a national transformation agenda.

Ng pumanawatanga ou - What you will bring

  • Extensive senior leadership experience successfully collaborating with other senior leaders to drive organisational performance
  • Demonstrated success influencing strategic decisions through a commercial and outcomes-based lens
  • Deep subject matter-expertise in one or more of the functions led by this role
  • Demonstrated ability to develop highly effective mutually beneficial and collaborative partnerships internally and externally
  • Understanding of partnership obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide change, performance improvement and culture transformation
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. HR, Law, Public Policy, Business or related discipline)
