Duties and Responsibilities:
- To take day to day responsibility for children
- To work to high standards of care
- Ensure a good standard of hygiene
- Attend meetings and undertake training as required
- Adhere to Child Protection Policy of the service and report any concerns
- To develop ongoing positive relationships with parents
- Attend regular staff meetings
- Be able to take charge and direct children in case of an emergency
- Maintain strict confidentiality, any breach of confidentiality about children or their families will constitute gross misconduct
- Perform any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time
Person Specifications
- Minimum 1 year’s work experience in a similar role.
- English Intermediate or Higher level. (spoken and written)
- Ability to work on their own initiative.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Safety (training will be provided if you do not have it).
- Manual Handling (training will be provided if you do not have it).
- Fire Safety (training will be provided if you do not have it).
- Complete Garda Vetting (will be arranged by us).
- Drive Licence is desirable.
