Position Summary:
We are hiring a Construction Survey Technician to support our field operations across multiple active projects. This position requires accurate surveying services for heavy civil construction, underground utilities, and commercial building work.
Primary Duties:
- Provide layout and grade control services for earthwork operations, concrete placements, and utility installations.
- Establish line and grade for excavation teams, pipe installations, and structural work.
- Coordinate with site superintendents and project coordinators on survey requirements and field conditions.
- Maintain accurate survey documentation, progress records, and as-built drawings per project specifications.
- Operate and maintain survey instruments including total stations, GPS equipment, robotic units, and laser leveling systems.
- Adapt to various project environments across our construction divisions.
Qualifications Required:
- 3-5 years of construction surveying experience, preferably in heavy civil, municipal infrastructure, or underground utility work.
- Working knowledge of surveying principles, construction procedures, and jobsite safety protocols.
- Competency with modern survey equipment and software applications (AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience preferred).
- Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design documents.
- Effective communication skills for coordination with field crews and management personnel.
- Practical problem-solving skills for addressing field discrepancies and construction challenges.
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
