Join us to drive Intel's next generation client SOC architectural breakthroughs. We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to lead our Power, Performance and Thermal modeling team. Our team is at the forefront of defining and developing Intel's client SOC architecture. As a Power and Performance Engineering Lead, you will be casting a vision for as well as executing on Power, Performance and Thermal analysis and projections for all Intel client products to cover all required KPIs, benchmarks and real use case scenarios. You will be responsible for developing and delivering all the solutions needed to enable this work, leveraging industry technology, and developing differentiating solutions as needed. This opportunity will combine your technical knowledge of SOC and System-level Architecture, Workloads, Modelling, methodology and tool development and other adjacent skills to understand implications and drive directions. Responsibilities
Build a high-performance team that holds the different disciplines of modeling, methodology and solutions development
Set the vision for the methodology and solution development roadmap, to cover all the needs from architecture exploration and definition to projections.
Deliver SOC level projections for all Client SOC products.
Drive pathfinding, model definition, and implementation for SOC and IP Performance Models with emphasis on both internal and ecosystem CPU, Fabric, I/O, and memory technologies
Work with partners (internal and/or external, including EDA partners) to define and deliver the solutions and projections.
As a member of the leadership team, you will need to collaborate across multiple disciplines and organizations to effectively influence product direction.


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field with 15+ years of experience.

8+ years in people management
Combined 10+ years Power Architecture and/or Analysis, Performance Modeling experience, Performance Projection experience, or SoC or IP Design/Architecture.
Proven track record of managing complex, cross teams/organization tasks.
Deep understanding of system architecture, and associated Power, Performance and thermal modelling techniques
Knowledge of infrastructure and tools to support workload analysis
Experience with Performance Model design, development and usage
Experience with simulators used for modern processor and SoC architectures
Experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary and cross organization tasks
Knowledge of the performance, power and thermal solutions landscape in the industry

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field with 13+ years of experience.
Detailed SoC Architecture, SoC Subsystem Architecture, IP Architecture and/or Microarchitecture knowledge
Software development in System C, C, C++, Python and/or Domain Specific Language modeling

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $999.00-$999,999.00
  • Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
