Gears & Sprockets produces a variety gear and machine component parts for heavy industrial and manufacturing companies across the United States. We are a shop located in Broadview, Illinois.

To be qualified for this role, the following is required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years minimum of SET-UP& CNC machining experience
• Mazak CNC experience a plus
• Experience in machining metals (steel, stainless steel, bronze, cast)
• Ability to read & understand CNC programs (G-Code & M-Code)
• Demonstrated ability to set up and operate CNC equipment
• Proficient in shop math, including geometry and conversions
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and understand tolerance
• Demonstrated ability to use precision gages
• Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Willing and able to work in a drug and tobacco free, safety conscious environment
• Dependability & willingness to work overtime when requested
• Ability and willingness to train others or learn from others
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Pay: $22-$32 an hour

Summary

As a CNC Machinist Programmer/Operator, you will be essential in producing precision components through advanced machining techniques. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your role involves interpreting blueprints and utilizing CNC lathes and precision measuring instruments to ensure high-quality output. Your core skills in mechanical knowledge and shop math, combined with premium skills in CNC programming and GD&T, will enable you to optimize manufacturing processes. Additionally, your relevant experience with tools and lean manufacturing practices will contribute to our commitment to excellence and efficiency in production. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
