Created in 2009, ESSP is a young and dynamic company, a pan European service provider, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the EGNOS service (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).

ESSP recruits a:

CNS PROJECT MANAGER - (F/M)

We are looking for an Expert who will be in charge of activities in Communications, Navigation & Surveillance Data Service Provider project under SESAR 3 program (SESAR-2022- Digital European Sky Industrial Research 01). For these activities, we are looking for someone with at least 5 years’ experience in aviation sector and 3 years’ experience in a field relevant to CNS services and applications, and/or satellite technologies, with a very good level of English (minimum B2).

Your main responsibilities/activities will be:

  • Project Leader responsibilities, including the oversight and compliance of estimated costs, forecast, procurement, invoices and reportings;
  • Develop, mantain and follow-up the Project Management Plan (PMP) based on the related tender proposal, in accordance with timelines and deliveries;
  • Coordinate activities of contributors, ensuring the succesful execution of the PMP;
  • Manage the risk analysis and follow-up and escalate on need, putting in place all needed activities to reduce/mitigate the identified risks;
  • Lead project and Steering Committee meetings;
  • Manage the project team and suppliers/subcontractors contracts;
  • Establish the synchronization with involved stakeholders, such as SESAR, SDM, Eurocontrol and others SESAR projects lauched in the same call;
  • Manage the customer satisfaction;
  • Contribute technically to required activities and deliveries related to project, mainly to:

o Technical service definition based on applicable regulatory framework and standards;

o Definition of service modelling and concept of operations characterization;

o Support to validation;

o Contribution to business case activities.

Transversal activities:

  • Contribute to the ESSP involvement in the evolution of Communications, Navigation & Surveillance programme;
  • Contribute to the identification of project opportunities related to the Communications, Navigation & Surveillance implementation in line with ESSP business strategy and finally the technical preparation of proposal for selected tenders;
  • Contribute as part of technical team, in service provision tasks linked to current or new Communication and Surveillance projects.

PROFILE:

  • Deep understanding of Project management processes (Project Management Plan, RASCI, Risk identification, reporting) and tools (Microsoft Project, Time control and reporting, Finances).
  • Experience in SESAR projects management or call launched directly by European Commission releated to Communications Navigation & Surveillance.
  • Good understanding of European regulation (such as, but not limited to, Single European Sky (SES) regulatory framework and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulation) as well as applicable standards (ICAO, EUROCAE, RTCA, ARINC…)
  • Background in previous SESAR program calls or relevant SESAR projects related to CNS
  • Other preferable skills:

o Project demo and validations activities

  • Leadership and team building
  • Projects development oriented
  • Delegation / Team Management
  • Good capacity of analysis, synthesis and reporting
  • Team player spirit
  • High Level of English (B2-C1) - CEFRL
  • Ability to assume responsibilities
  • Proactiveness/initiative

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Engineering degree or equivalent

Experience in projects in an international context (European)

Experience in projects management (recommended SESAR projects)

Available for regular travels, especially in Europe
