Diamonex®, a division of BEST Engineered Surface Technologies, has been a leader in diamond-like carbon (DLC) and polycrystalline diamond (CVD) coating technologies since 1990, utilizing advanced Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD) processes. In addition to coatings, Diamonex® has developed proprietary ion source technology designed for high-quality DLC and nanocomposite film deposition.

Our radio frequency (RF) DLC processes enable uniform, conformal coatings on complex geometries, while our ion-beam technology delivers high-performance coatings for line-of-sight applications. Join a high-tech team supporting the medical, aerospace, and semiconductor industries.

We are seeking a Coating Operator / Technician to support production and technical operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

We are looking for 1st shift and 2nd shift Operators (7 a.m. - 3:30 and 2 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.)

Responsibilities:

  • Operate critical processing equipment such as vacuum coating systems and their associated support equipment
  • Run experiments and collect data based on written work instructions
  • Debug and offer ideas for processes, assembly instructions, fixtures, and testing
  • Maintain and organize data and documents for processes and testing results
  • Perform validation and verification tests per appropriate instructions including but not limited to the first article inspections, pilot run inspections, and functional tests
  • Complete appropriate database transactions to adequately document production activity
  • Run various pieces of equipment used for coating characterization and failure analysis
  • Perform documented tests, inspections, and quality checks on products as specified
  • Track, mark, and identify products as they make their way through the coating processes
  • Maintenance and upkeep of work environment, including light preventative maintenance of coating chambers and associated equipment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous related experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required (ITAR compliance)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a technical and professional environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all EHS regulations
  • Ability to contribute to continuous improvement in processes, quality, and safety
  • Commitment to a culture of quality, customer service, and teamwork
