To manage and oversee the commercial activities of the company, particularly focusing on import operations, procurement, supplier/vendor coordination, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
Qualification -
- Commerce Graduate (B.Com or equivalent) from a recognized university.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in import operations, commercial, or logistics roles.
- Experience in working with international suppliers, customs clearance, and freight forwarders is highly desirable.
- Prior exposure to trading, manufacturing, or distribution companies is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of import documentation, incoterms, HS codes, and customs compliance is an added advantage.
Import Operations:
- Coordinate the end-to-end import process, including documentation (BL, Invoice, Packing List, COO, etc.)
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure timely clearance and delivery of shipments.
- Monitor HS codes, duties, tariffs, and import compliance requirements.
- Track shipments and update internal teams on delivery schedules.
Commercial/Procurement Activities:
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with international suppliers.
- Monitor market trends and provide input on procurement strategies.
- Generate and process purchase orders.
- Analyze cost structures, landed cost calculations, and recommend cost-saving measures.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and planning teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Forecast product needs based on sales and consumption trends.
- Monitor inventory flow and report on slow-moving or overstocked items.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of imports, invoices, and supplier communications.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade laws (e.g., import permits, licenses).
- Assist in audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
