Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced commercial drywall Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing accurate estimates, and collaborating with various parties to ensure successful project execution. The Estimator will play a crucial role in supporting our construction management efforts and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Duties

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.

Utilize software tools such as Planswift to create precise estimates and manage project data.

Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.

Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain thorough records of estimates, contracts, and changes to ensure accurate tracking of project costs.

Provide support during the bidding process by preparing proposals and presenting estimates to clients.

Conduct site visits to gather information on construction conditions and assess potential challenges.

Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and new materials or technologies that may impact estimating processes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial and industrial drywall estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles.

Proficiency in using estimating software such as Planswift is highly desirable.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and clients.

Familiarity with contracts, pricing strategies, and cost control measures within the construction industry.

Experience working on construction sites is required to understand practical aspects of projects.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in preparing estimates and managing documentation.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
