Role Summary
The Commercial Walls & Ceilings Foreman at Higgins Group Inc. leads field crews on commercial framing, drywall, finishing, and ceiling projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This role drives daily production, coordinates manpower and materials, and maintains clear communication between the field and project leadership. The Foreman sets expectations, develops crew members, and represents Higgins Group with professionalism across all jobsites. Travel to multiple project locations is required.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise crews performing framing, drywall, acoustic ceiling systems
- Meet production schedules, quality standards, and project milestones
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient jobsite flow
- Enforce jobsite safety standards, including OSHA requirements and company policies
- Conduct daily jobsite huddles and communicate expectations clearly to crew members
- Monitor work quality and productivity, ensuring installations meet commercial standards and inspection requirements
- Identify and resolve field conflicts before they impact schedule or cost
- Mentor and develop crew members, setting performance and expectations
- Coordinate with other trades to maintain workflow and minimize interference
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite at all times
- Travel to and work across multiple job locations as required by project schedules
- Assists with Project Managers as necessary
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on commercial construction experience, including metal framing, drywall installation/finishing, and acoustic ceiling systems
- Demonstrated experience leading and supervising field crews in commercial interior systems
- Proven history of working with commercial blueprints, plans, and reflected ceiling plans (RCPs)
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in commercial metal stud framing
- Skilled in drywall hanging and finishing (taping, mudding, and finishing to commercial quality standards)
- Experienced in acoustic ceiling installation (T-grid, ACT, specialty ceilings)
- Competent using industry-standard hand and power tools safely and effectively
Leadership & Communication
- Ability to direct, mentor, and motivate crews to meet production and quality expectations
- Strong verbal and written communication with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and foremen
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making under tight schedules
Safety
- Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety and OSHA compliance
- Experience enforcing safety protocols and identifying hazards proactively

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
