Description:
About the role:
The Communications Advisor will work with the Head of Client Relations & Marketing and Hub Leaders to implement MBM’s strategic communication strategies. The incumbent will be responsible for building strong relationships with all stakeholders and will promote MBM across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility for marketing and communication functions including:
Identifying and creating external news articles and thought leadership pieces to highlight MBM and the expertise of its people
Updating and maintaining engaging content on the MBM website
Preparing and implementing social media campaigns that align with marketing and business development objectives, including reporting on these campaigns via digital analytical systems as appropriate (including the research and implementation of these analytical tools)
Creating and maintaining marketing collateral including but not limited to, brochures, capability statements, reports, and promotional material in Canva and Indesign, in collaboration with the senior graphic designer
Lead awards submissions for the business, including ensuring all interstate offices are represented in all available awards programs
Lead on the creation and delivery of quarterly business reports, working closely with subject matter experts to produce external through leadership and commercial guides that incorporate relevant data and MBM insights
Provide support and training to the marketing & communications coordinator
Provide support for external and internal events as required
As required, attending a diverse range of fun networking events representing MBM
Other activities to support MBM’s marketing, client relations and bidding activities as required
This role would suit a Senior Marketing and/or Communications Coordinator looking to take the next step in their career.
Skills and Experiences:
About you:
You’re a strong communicator with an eye for detail and a passion for making information clear, inclusive and engaging. You enjoy collaborating with others and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, PR, journalism or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills across a variety of formats
- Strong interpersonal and proactive relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience with digital communication tools (e.g. intranet/CRM, email platforms) – desirable
- Exposure to Microsoft tools and Canva is a must
- A collaborative mindset and a resilient and flexible approach
- Team Player: Effective organisational and communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactivity: A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
