Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Communicative Disorders Assistant to support speech-language pathologists in delivering effective therapy services. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others improve their communication skills and eager to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with clients of diverse ages and backgrounds, contributing to their progress and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing therapy plans tailored to individual client needs
- Prepare therapy materials and set up equipment for sessions
- Observe and document client progress during therapy sessions
- Support clients with exercises and activities designed to improve speech, language, and communication skills
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment
- Engage with clients in a respectful, encouraging manner to foster a positive therapeutic experience
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach toward clients
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to different therapy protocols
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support clients’ progress
