The Brain Injury Association of Waterloo-Wellington is hiring a Community Support Worker to join our team for an 8-week contract with flexibility of start date between May 11th and June 15th, and running for 8 consecutive weeks, 35 hours per week. This role is hybrid with in office hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and community or remote work on Tuesday and Thursday. Some weekend work required on Saturdays only.

Reporting to the Program Director, this candidate will provide support to the Lidz on Kidz 2026 education and helmet program. They will assist in delivering brain basic curriculum-based education programs to classrooms in Waterloo-Wellington and will assist in the distribution of over 1,400 bicycle helmets. In addition, this staff member will work in our programming department, supporting, planning and executing programs for our members and supporting our entire program staff team in delivering meaningful and engaging programs to our members.

This position is an excellent fit for someone looking to grow their work experience in program facilitation, front line service and understanding of brain injury and program adaptation. Our programs range from arts and crafts, taco nights, euchre gatherings, to drop-in days, peer support circles, a members picnic in the park, to tech support, individual support.
