Comptroller

Job Summary

The Comptroller will manage the financial operations of SunVida, a leasing-focused entity

in the renewable energy sector. This role will ensure compliance with GAAP, oversee

financial reporting, and contribute to the company's strategic initiatives. The Controller

will work closely with the CFO to optimize financial performance and support the

company's growth objectives, particularly in lease financing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Compliance

- Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP, with an

enphasis on lease accounting and ITC-related transactions.

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring timely and accurate

reporting.

- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and maintain

regulatory compliance.

2. Accounting Operations

- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and

general ledger.

- Manage processes related to portfolio servicing, ITC repayments, and other SunVida-

specific financial activities.

- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of leasing agreements, servicing costs, and

variable expenses.

3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, collaborating with cross-

functional teams.

- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-

making.

- Track lease growth metrics and profitability to align with company goals.

4. Audit & Tax Management

- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax compliance.

- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations for pass-through entities

like LLCs.

- Manage ITC-related financial reconciliations and reporting requirements.

5. Technology & Systems

- Set-up and Oversee the implementation and management of financial systems,

including NetSuite and Concord Servicing integrations.

- Automate processes to enhance efficiency in financial reporting and lease management.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA

required.

Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a

comptroller role. Experience in renewable energy, leasing, or a related industry

is highly preferred.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in GAAP, lease accounting, financial software systems

(e.g., NetSuite), and advanced Excel.

Other Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities. Strong

communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
