Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Swimming Pool Construction Assistant to join our team. The purpose of a pool construction employee is to construct and maintain swimming pools and other related equipment in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. This includes excavation, installation of equipment, concrete work, tile work, plumbing, and electrical installation. They are also responsible for checking and maintaining safety compliance with local building codes and regulations. Other duties may include customer service and maintenance of the pool area. The ideal candidate will support various construction projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
Duties
- Gather tools, materials, and supplies needed for pool construction projects.
- Read blueprints to determine appropriate layout and design of pools.
- Excavate and level the ground to ensure a solid foundation for the pool.
- Install plumbing and electrical components as required.
- Construct walls, floors, and steps using rebar, gunite and other materials.
- Install pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters.
- Install pool liners, coping, stone and tile.
- Perform routine maintenance on pool equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair any pool-related problems.
- Keep accurate records of all pool construction projects.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for various construction tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized construction site to promote safety and efficiency.
- Comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs Minimum
- Must have an active driver’s license and means of transportation
- Pass a Background check
- Pass Drug Screening if required.
- Must have prior pool experience in construction, equipment installation/repairs
- Must be able to operate handheld power tools
- Must maintain a clean professional appearance at work. Facial hair is allowed, but must be presentable.
- Must be able to speak English
- Have a positive attitude and be service minded. Customer service is the backbone of our company.
- Possess a solid work ethic and have a high standard for yourself and respect for others.
- Have the ability to self-direct and self-monitor Quality of work performed.
- Present yourself well, be capable of interacting with customers and staff via verbal and written correspondents.
- Be trustworthy, prompt and reliable.
Have an eagerness to learn and willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
