Job Summary
Urban Ridge Homes is Winnipeg’s leading infill home builder, specializing in high-quality single-family homes, duplexes, triplexes, and fourplexes. We’re looking for an energetic and reliable Construction Runner & Labourer to join our team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in construction and learning the industry from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up equipment.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced tradespeople to complete tasks accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met.
• Help with the installation of structures, frameworks, and fixtures as directed.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals within deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and standing for long periods.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and safety equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on various tasks as needed.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions and maintain a positive attitude on the job site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
