Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with various tasks including merchandising, stocking, and sales, while also having the opportunity to demonstrate products and engage with customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the customer experience.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to potential buyers.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing store through effective merchandising practices.
• Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
• Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with customers, addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly in a grocery store environment.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately.
• Basic math skills are essential for processing sales and managing inventory.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in supervising staff is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform product demos effectively to engage customers.
• Knowledge of merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and appeal.
