CONSTRUCTION PROJECT COORDINATOR

has extensive experience with multi-residential, commercial, leasehold and institutional projects, excelling in the building envelope remediation field.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our growing construction team in our Nanaimo office

Responsibilities:

 Assist Project Managers and Estimators during tendering process.

 Assist with all aspects of Contract Administration. Must be familiar with RFI’s, Change Requests, Change Directives, Change Orders, and Field Reports etc.

 General administrative duties to support Project Managers and Site Superintendents as required.

 Receive and log-in drawings and other contract documents, maintain document control log; ensure that current drawings are issued to the field; void drawings are retrieved and filed as required.

 Prepare and transmit submittals (drawings, materials, vendors) to client for approval.

 Assist in the development and maintenance of the project master schedule with input from other project management personnel.

 Prepare, issue and maintain Subcontracts and Subcontract Change Orders under direct supervision of Project Manager.

 Write requisitions and purchase orders; follow up with suppliers and expedite deliveries.

 Completion and submittal of RFQ/RFP’s.

Qualifications:

 Minimum 2 years’ experience within the construction industry working in similar capacity.

 Excellent computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Outlook/Excel/Project/Word/Teams).

 Experience using Bluebeam an asset but not required.

 Considerable knowledge of industry standards, guidelines, procedures, and practices.

 Knowledge of project execution activities such as planning, project controls, scheduling and job costing.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, solid team player with positive attitude.

 Quick learner, self-motivated and ability to work independently

Salary & Benefits: Saywell Contracting offers a competitive salary including extended dental and health benefits. Salary negotiable based on experience. Applicants will be held in the strictest confidence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
