The role of Supervisor at Net Zero Construction includes important responsibilities which are to be carried out on a regular and ongoing basis to ensure a safe working environment.
We rely on the strength and safety-conscious leadership of our Supervisor to ensure the job is completed to our high-quality standards with a focus on safety and compliance at all times.
Our Supervisors represent the Company on‐site and are expected to embody Net Zero Construction’s policies of respect for all employees (and other persons they interact with) and to always put health and safety first in every element of the site’s activities.
OHSA RESPONSIBILITIES
The Supervisor shall:
- Ensure that workers and supervisors work in a manner, that puts their health and safety first at all times.
- Ensure that workers use the correct measures and procedures as required.
- Ensure that workers work with the protective equipment or devices as required.
- Workers use or wear the Personal Protective Equipment, clothing or devices as prescribed or identified as required for the job task.
- Advise a worker of the existence of any potential or actual danger to the health and safety of the worker which the supervisor is aware of or made aware of.
- When required provide a worker with written instructions as to the measures and procedures to be used by the worker.
- Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of the employee.
- Conduct ongoing observations of worksite acts and site conditions to identify areas of opportunity for improvement. (note: actively observing the project for hazards is expected of all our supervisors and where conditions are serious, stopping the work to correct the situation is mandatory).
- Supervise the workplace personally at all times or appoint a competent person to do so in their absence.
- Conduct on-site toolbox safety meetings, and record all details.
- Ensure inspections of tools and equipment are completed as required.
- Ensure all injuries are treated and where necessary, contact emergency services to attend and provide treatment. All injuries are to be immediately reported to upper management along with details of the injury and treatment provided.
- Co‐operate with all regulatory agencies and Inspectors.
- Make sure a worker representative is selected when there are more than 5 workers on the project or a Joint Health and Safety Committee is established when more than 20 workers are regularly employed on the project if the project duration exceeds 3 months.
- Keep a detailed daily log book with date, time, and any relevant information recorded. This is part of a Supervisor’s required due diligence which can act as proof in a court of law if required.
- Support and work with recommendations of 3rd party safety consultants and other experts hired by Net Zero Construction to support the projects. Additional Construction Supervisor Responsibilities.
- Ensuring teams work together to deliver quality work while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Monitoring construction processes and providing training when required.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Scheduling regular meetings with vendors, site inspectors, managers, and staff.
- Writing reports, budgets, project plans, etc., and presenting them to relevant stakeholders.
- Working closely with architects and other professionals.
- Staying up‐to‐date with safety codes and advancements in construction.
- Processing paperwork and traveling to multiple sites as required.

Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
