YOUR NEW ROLE

Help protect one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. Join the team at the Sydney Opera House as a Control Room Operator, where you’ll use advanced security systems to proactively monitor the precinct, detect threats early and coordinate responses to security, fire, medical and emergency incidents. This is a fast-paced, purpose-driven role for calm, collaborative professionals who thrive under pressure and value teamwork, inclusion and public safety. ARE YOU THE ONE?

We are looking for someone who has:
Demonstrated operational experience within a security control room environment, utilising a range of security systems, within a high profile or high public visitation site.
Proven experience in investigating security, medical, fire or emergency related incidents through the examination of related security systems.
Display a high level of attention to detail and the ability to resolve problems requiring interpretation and assessment of complex situations.
Display excellent verbal and written communication skills with intermediate to advanced computer skills, as well as strong administrative and report writing skills.
Ability to make sound decisions in complex environments that have the potential to jeopardise the safety of people and the integrity of the building.
Current Class 1A & 1E (1AE) Certificate II in Security Operations.
A valid WWCC (working with children clearance).
The ability to work 12 hour shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster pattern.
