YOUR NEW ROLE
Help protect one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. Join the team at the Sydney Opera House as a Control Room Operator, where you’ll use advanced security systems to proactively monitor the precinct, detect threats early and coordinate responses to security, fire, medical and emergency incidents. This is a fast-paced, purpose-driven role for calm, collaborative professionals who thrive under pressure and value teamwork, inclusion and public safety. ARE YOU THE ONE?
  • We are looking for someone who has:
  • Demonstrated operational experience within a security control room environment, utilising a range of security systems, within a high profile or high public visitation site.
  • Proven experience in investigating security, medical, fire or emergency related incidents through the examination of related security systems.
  • Display a high level of attention to detail and the ability to resolve problems requiring interpretation and assessment of complex situations.
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills with intermediate to advanced computer skills, as well as strong administrative and report writing skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in complex environments that have the potential to jeopardise the safety of people and the integrity of the building.
  • Current Class 1A & 1E (1AE) Certificate II in Security Operations.
  • A valid WWCC (working with children clearance).
  • The ability to work 12 hour shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster pattern.
