Part-Time Controller (Remote/Hybrid)
GetGoing is looking for an experienced, proactive, and business-minded Controller to join our growing leadership team.
This is not your typical accounting role.
We're seeking a Controller who enjoys working closely with ownership, improving processes, creating financial clarity, and helping guide business decisions. You'll oversee the accounting and finance functions across multiple business units while helping build the financial infrastructure needed to support our next stage of growth.
This position is ideal for an experienced Controller, CPA, or senior accounting professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity where they can make a meaningful impact without the demands of a traditional full-time corporate environment.

We help consumers secure vehicle financing and purchase vehicles online across Western Canada. In addition, we provide marketing services to over 100 automotive dealerships across Canada.

What You'll Do
As Controller, you'll be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations while serving as a trusted advisor to ownership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records across multiple entities
- Manage payroll for salaried, hourly, and commission-based team members
- Prepare and reconcile sales commissions and compensation plans
- Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and financial performance metrics
- Develop and improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
- Assist ownership with financial analysis and business decision-making
- Coordinate with external accountants and tax professionals
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and technology
- Provide financial insight that helps the business scale profitably
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and enjoys operating as both a strategic thinker and hands-on financial leader.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Previous Controller, Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or equivalent experience preferred
- CPA designation preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Experience managing payroll, commissions, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with ownership
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and modern cloud-based software
Automotive, marketing agency, fintech, or multi-entity business experience is considered a strong asset but is not required.

Compensation
$45,000 - $60,000 annually (part-time)
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and the scope of responsibilities assumed.
