We are looking for a full-time permanent Cook (minimum 30 hours per week) for our company North Times Limited (in Whangarei) who can immediately start to join our team and contribute to our expanding menu.
Suitable candidate must have a minimum two years’ experience or relevant qualification.
Job type: Full time permanent, Minimum 30 hours per week.
Must be able to work on a flexible roster on 30 to 40 hours per week.
Be able to perform following job duties:
Prepare and cook meals according to customer orders.
Prepare salads, sauces and marinate food items as required according to recipes and standards.
Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards.
Order and purchase food supplies when required.
Should keep proper record of supplies and stock.
Maintenance of Fridge/Freezer temperature log
Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
Seasoning food during cooking
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes, getting it ready for serving
Assist others in preparing dishes and keep the cleanliness and maintain records.
Applicant must be a NZ citizen or have NZ residency or hold valid NZ work visa.
