Inc42 Media is looking for a sharp and driven correspondent to cover the rapidly growing cohort of new-age tech companies in the public markets.
If you are curious about how new-age tech companies are shaping the future of Indian tech and Indian markets, and want to be the one telling those stories, this role is for you.
At the same time, this is also a specialist role given its sharp focus on listed companies. As such, this goes beyond a traditional reporter role and has intersections with public markets or equity markets analysts.
Inc42 is India’s leading startup media and intelligence platform that informs, educates and empowers startup and business leaders through its incisive reporting, insightful reports, curated events and community engagement, and industry-leading executive courses.
Since launching in January 2015, and having risen to become the authoritative voice on India’s startup economy, we've moved markets, gotten the early scoop on billions of dollars of transactions and told you what's happening deep inside some of the fastest-growing startups and industries alike. Our stories have been followed by the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Reuters, TechCrunch and other major outlets hundreds of times.
We also track over 50,000+ startups and provide market research and intelligence through our in-depth research reports, and we organise some of the most sought-after conferences and events for startup and business leaders across India.
As a correspondent for Inc42 covering and analysing the public market journey of Indian tech startups as well as listed new-age tech companies, you will:
Report on the latest developments within companies that can have a material impact on their business
Shed light on how companies are preparing for IPOs and other market events
Decode the impact of macroeconomic factors on listed companies, as well as the implications of geopolitical changes
Break down data and trends from quarterly reports, annual reports and other disclosures
Track and analyse the fundamentals and growth within business verticals
Build a strong network with brokerages and analysts, as well as the management teams of companies in Inc42’s coverage
Unlike brokerages and investment houses, Inc42 Media caters to India’s top founders, CXOs, managers and VPs as well as mid-level and entry-level talent at Indian startups. Enabling them to gain access to insights, strategies, and business models of listed companies will be a key facet of this role.
In addition to your skills and knowledge of public markets, you will have access to state-of-the-art digital tools, resources, and historical data (including pre-IPO data) that Inc42 has meticulously curated over the past 12 years.
Besides producing sharp analysis of listed companies, you would also be charged with shaping the ecosystem through your narrative and storytelling.
We also encourage applications from individuals keen to start their journey as journalists and transition from an analyst or investment background.
