Duties

• Safely operate a box truck or other commercial vehicle with manual transmission to deliver parcels across designated routes.
• Load and unload packages using heavy lifting techniques, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or manual handling methods.
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to maximize efficiency and punctuality.
• Verify recipient information, obtain signatures, and ensure proper documentation for all deliveries.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety inspections before and after each shift.
• Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on route.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting recipients with their packages and answering any questions professionally.

Experience

• Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with route driving responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently.
• Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with load & unload procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle is desirable.
• Knowledge of forklift operation or pallet jack use is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in diverse situations.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
