Job Summary

In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting packages, documents, and goods to various destinations while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or other commercial vehicle with manual transmission to deliver parcels across designated routes.
- Load and unload packages using heavy lifting techniques, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or manual handling methods.
- Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to maximize efficiency and punctuality.
- Verify recipient information, obtain signatures, and ensure proper documentation for all deliveries.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety inspections before and after each shift.
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on route.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting recipients with their packages and answering any questions professionally.
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with route driving responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with load & unload procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle is desirable.
- Knowledge of forklift operation or pallet jack use is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in diverse situations.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
