The Custom Cutter & Order Fulfillment’s main objective is to operate a saw safely while building orders for accuracy with minimum waste of product.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the quality of cut materials, make adjustments as necessary to meet production standards.
- Fasten, package, or stack materials and products, using hand tools and fastening equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain a safe working environment.
- Responsible for meeting productivity requirements in a safe and efficient manner.
- Read order details and ensure accuracy.
- Measure accurately to make sure orders are correctly cut.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to cutting processes.
- Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
- Adhere to safe workplace policies and procedures, along with inspecting other equipment before use.
- Maintain a clean and tidy worksite.
- Professional communication and behaviour with all co-workers, customers and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Education:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior lumber manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Proficient with a variety of saws and equipment required.
- Ability to learn and follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail a must.
- Above average math skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Ability to push, pull, twist, lift, crouch and bend as needed.
- Ability to interact effectively and respectfully with others.
- Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, both written and spoken.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to walk and/or stand on pavement in all weather conditions (sun, rain, and snow) for more than an hour at a time.
- Continually required to stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Continually required to talk or hear.
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Continually work near moving mechanical parts.
- Ability to lift and or move items weighing 80 lbs. to 100 lbs.
Compensation:
- Pay Range is based on Experience and Performance

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
