Customer Journey & Messaging Strategist

Full-time · Remote or Dublin-based · Reporting to: CEO/Product Lead

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a strategic-yet-hands-on communicator to elevate the way we engage with customers — across onboarding, in-product messaging, outbound comms, and every key moment of their lifecycle.

This is a cross-functional role where you’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, marketers, and our CX team to ensure a consistent, clear, and conversion-optimized experience. You’ll start with auditing and improving real customer touchpoints — and evolve into a central voice guiding our tone, positioning, and journey strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing

Customer Journey & Messaging Strategy

  • Map and audit the end-to-end customer journey (from acquisition to activation, retention, and beyond).
  • Identify friction points, tone mismatches, and messaging gaps across channels.
  • Define and refine key lifecycle stages and messaging objectives at each stage.

Tactical Content & Communication

  • Review and improve onboarding emails, product tooltips, transactional messages, and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing on messaging frameworks, value propositions, and feature rollouts.
  • Work with product and CX to ensure help content and user communications are consistent, helpful, and conversion-minded.

Growth & Funnel Optimization

  • Analyse activation rates and funnel conversion metrics; generate and test ideas to improve them.
  • Contribute to A/B testing copy and journeys — particularly around onboarding and feature adoption.
  • Suggest messaging and UX tweaks that improve clarity, drive action, and reduce confusion.

You Might Be a Fit If You…

  • Have 3–5+ years in growth marketing, product marketing, or customer lifecycle roles, ideally in SaaS.
  • Have experience shaping customer comms and journeys that convert, not just inform.
  • Are a strong writer/editor who thinks deeply about tone, timing, and user context.
  • Understand how to collaborate cross-functionally and get messaging aligned across teams.
  • Bonus: Experience in hospitality tech, service businesses, or B2B2C SaaS is a major plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From €40,000.00 per year

Experience:
