Customer Service Representative (On-site)

Ampersand are a nationwide sales and marketing company supplying a full range of fast-moving consumer goods to all the retail groups in Ireland. We are an Irish-owned family business with over 70 years’ experience; we supply directly over 3,000 stores and are a key distributor in the convenience sector.

Our product portfolio is sourced from over 50 different suppliers based both in Ireland and in all parts of the world. Our product ranges are in Confectionery, Food, Cigars, Tobacco accessories and Consumer products. Some of our brands include:

- Cleeve’s Irish Confectionery

- Sonas Sweets Confectionery

- Swan & OCB Tobacco Accessories

- Clipper Lighters

- Ballymaloe

- Agio & Signature Cigars

We are currently looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Internal Sales Team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The role is based in our office in Clondalkin and is part of a team of two who reports to the Sales & NPD manager.

The working hours are: Monday to Thursday: 08:30-17:00 and Friday: 8:30-15:45.

Key responsibilities:

· Receive inbound calls and make outbound calls.

· Contribute to sales in line with company objectives and budgets.

· Work closely with the Sales & NPD Manager, the field sales team and cross-functional teams to align activities with business development goals.

· Process sales orders using Microsoft Business Central.

· Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships through consistent communication and support.

· Assist with customer order queries, working with 3rd party providers i.e. transport hauliers

· Greet visitors to the premises.

· Organize files and update the customer database.

· Any other duties as required.

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

· Professional telephone manner and an ability to handle inbound and outbound calls.

· Fluency in English language, both written and spoken.

· Good IT skills i.e. Excel

· Positive attitude with a friendly, polite manner.

· Organised.

· Flexible.

· Team player.

· Previous experience in a similar role will be considered as an advantage.

· Previous experience with corporate wide IT systems will be considered as an advantage.
